Vinyl and Paper

In this digital age where it's becoming more popular to download music and read ebooks, I'm starting to cherish the tangible objects a little more. So, instead of getting the new Christmas album from She & Him (A Very She & Him Christmas) off iTunes, I wanted to go to an actual record store and hold the music in my hand, put it in a bag, and take it home to enjoy. (There is also a code to download the album inside of the record, so don't worry, I'll also have it on my iPhone.)

We headed downtown today and our first stop was Peaches Records on Decatur Street in the French Quarter:

Yay! I got the album!
Our next stop was Crescent City Books on Chartres Street, just a few blocks from Peaches. It has new and used books and is located in a beautiful old building in the Quarter. I'm looking forward to going back to this one.

The bookstore cat. How sweet is that??

We ended our downtown adventure at Felipe's Taqueria, also on Decatur Street. I may need a taqueria intervention. Here's a pic of Cody eating a burrito and wishing I would stop taking pictures of him:

And the last picture is of my new album...it's RED!

  1. I like this title and your appreciation of the tangible (yet not to worry because you'll still have the album on your iPhone haha).
